My Testimony
I am from a small town where your reputation and status matter. Coming from a loving family in which we did not attend church, I had no spiritual background or spiritual understanding. This led to a very moralistic and self-righteous middle-school and high-school experience, which was my way of building my reputation and status. I went off to college with no spiritual interest or desire, instead I was looking forward to the new freedoms college offered. Early on in my freshmen year I made a friend who starting asking me questions about purpose, God, and the work of Christ. As I continued to investigate these issues in the Bible, I soon realized that my moralistic actions and personal character flaws were sinful and in need of forgiveness. Recounting on the person and work of Jesus in my dorm room my freshmen year, I trusted Christ with my life.
